Entertainment announced for next month’s mayoral ball

An array of Galway talent will take to the stage of The Hotel Meyrick next month to provide the entertainment for the Mayor’s Gala Charity Ball.
The Mayor of Galway Hildegarde Naughton has announced the entertainment for her forthcoming ball on May 12. The MC will be singer-songwriter and DJ Marc Roberts. The performers will be The Patrician Brass Band, Trad on the Prom, tenor Kenneth Long, soprano Sandra Shalks, Duo Vocis (Frank Naughton and Sean Costello), and the band on the night will be Garrett Phillips & Band of Gold.
The four charities to benefit from the night are Cope’s Waterside House, ISPCC, Enable Ireland, and Galway Contact. There will be a raffle and prizes will include a diamond pendant sponsored by Cara Diamonds.
Tickets are currently on sale at The Treasure Chest, Shop Street, at €90 and early booking is advised.
