Christmas cake sale for Bish rowing

St Joseph’s College Rowing Club is holding a Christmas cake sale and coffee morning to raise funds for the club.

The event will take place on Saturday, December 10, and will run from 10am to 2pm at St Pat’s primary school on Lombard Street.

There will be a host of activities taking place at the event, including novelty quizzes, face-painting, mini raffles and surprises throughout the morning. Santa Claus will also be making an appearance and there will also be a monster raffle with some great prizes.

An array of home baking will be available to sample and purchase, with a range of refreshments on offer throughout the morning.

Everyone is welcome and a particular appeal is being extended to former Bish pupils and oarsmen to come along with their families.

The Bish rowing club is one of the most successful in the country and created history this year when it won the British Schools’ Championship at Nottingham, in addition to winning both the Irish schools and junior title.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the fundraising event — perhaps donate a cake or some other bakery products — should contact Anne Hindle on [email protected] or 087-9241667.
