Lackagh Graveyard vandals must ‘face full rigours of the law’ says Grealish

The recent vandalism and robbery at Lackagh cemetery is “the lowest type of crime” and the perpetrators must be caught and face the full rigours of the law.

This is the view of Independent Galway West TD Noel Grealish who described the vandals as “sickening individuals”, after visiting the graveyard.

“This has caused huge distress and upset to the families who’s loved ones graves were robbed and desecrated,” he said.

“I am calling on members of the public who may have information about this attack to contact An Garda Síochána as soon as possible. The public must be vigilant to prevent further robberies.”
