Major funding secured for city’s RAPID areas

Elderly people in the RAPID areas of Galway city are set to benefit from a the €100,000 funding announced this week for small-scale health and community projects.
Galway City RAPID in conjunction with the HSE-West has secured the funding which was announced on Monday.
The projects will allow older people to play an active role in community gardening in Bohermore and Ballybane, while also supporting projects such as Cope and Westside Age Inclusion to offer home supports to the elderly.
