Learn more about breast and cervical cancers at Tuam information evening

A free informal health information evening focusing on breast and cervical cancers, two of the most prevalent affecting women, will take place on Tuesday night at 8pm upstairs at the West Wing restaurant, Galway Road, Tuam.

Prevention, early detection and treatments will be covered and there will be an opportunity for women to ask questions during the forum or afterwards in privacy if preferred.

Breast Care nurse specialist at University Hospital Galway Mary Grealish will speak on the night and offer her experiences and advice. Nicole Morley from the Irish Cancer Society will give a talk on health promotion and cancer prevention while a local GP will also speak.

Tuam Cancer Care is a voluntary organisation which offers psychological, emotional and practical support to people with a cancer diagnosis and their families. It also provides general cancer related information.
