Galway choirs will present a concert in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church tomorrow at 8pm to mark National Mental Health Day.
The choirs taking part are The Galway Baroque Singers, under the direction of Audrey Corbett; The Galway Boys Choir led by Mark Keane; Micheal Durham’s Galway Gospel Choir; and Cois Cladaigh under Brendan O’Connor.
Singing is one activity that has a proven ability to enhance mental health and counteract negative influences which often lead to depression and other mental health problems.
Tickets are €10 at the door and all are welcome
