Helping parents make the right childcare choices

“Choosing childcare: what to look for?” is the title of an information meeting for parents being hosted by the Galway City and County Childcare Committee on Thursday October 8 at the Menlo Park Hotel at 8pm.

The event will provide answers to questions such as what should a parent ask when choosing childcare, how do you decide what type is suitable for your child and how can you avail of the free pre-school scheme.

Mary Giblin, co-ordinator of Galway City and County Childcare Committee and development officers will be on hand to answer any childcare-related queries people may have.

“We hope parents will avail of the opportunity to ask any questions they may have regarding childcare, be it about childcare costs, available resources or any other query.”

Interested parents are asked to telephone Galway City and County Childcare Committee at (091 ) 752039 or email [email protected] to register.

The Galway City and County Childcare Committee co-ordinates the development of childcare services locally. It is funded by the Government under the National Development Plan 2007-2013.
