Knit your own winter woolies
By Richie Mccarthy
Galway School of Knitting will start classes next week for both new and experienced knitters.
Beginners can look forward to knitting beanie hats, scarves, berets and bags, decorated with knitted flowers and beads. Intermediate knitters will knit more complicated gloves and socks, and will learn traditional Aran stitches. All patterns have been specially designed and are very easy to follow.
Beginners classes start Tuesday September 8 from 7pm to 9pm, while the intermediate class begins Wednesday September 9 from 7pm to 9pm. The cost of the class is €90. Phone Niamh on 086 4071850 or email niamh@galwayschoolofknitting.com to book your place. For more information visit www.galwayschoolofknitting.com
