Galway-based organic farm and retailer Green Earth Organics are celebrating 20 years in business with their inaugural Sustainability Festival, taking place on Saturday, September 12, from 10am to 5pm, on their 28-acre, 100% certified organic family farm in Corrandulla.
Since making their first organic vegetable box delivery in May 2006, sustainability has been at the heart of everything they do. To mark this milestone birthday, they’re bringing together some of Ireland’s most inspiring voices in food, nature and the environment for a very special day on the farm — timed perfectly to coincide with the bountiful autumn harvest.
The festival marquee will host a series of engaging panel talks packed with practical, actionable sustainable living tips. Confirmed speakers include Darina Allen, JP McMahon, Mick Kelly, Lou Robbie, Jacinta Dalton and more alongside founder Kenneth Keavey.
Get closer to where your food comes from with an informative farm walks, meet the beekeeper, and watch field-based cookery demonstrations with Tom Hunt, Guardian columnist and eco chef.
Fuel your day with food from festival food trucks like Galway’s own Dough Bros and Chipeen as well as delicious ice cream from Leitrim Hill Creamery. Enjoy tastings from local growers and artisan food producers, live music, and plenty more to discover throughout the day.
The farm shop will be open on the day too, so you can leave with a car full of the best organic fruits, vegetables and groceries.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
