Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a traffic accident that occurred at Ballyedmond, Clonberne, Ballinasloe last Saturday night, resulting in a teenage passenger being hospitalised with serious injuries.
The single-vehicle collision occurred at around 10.30pm on Saturday, August 22.
The front passenger in the car, a young male teenager, is currently in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin undergoing treatment for serious injuries sustained in the crash. He remains in a critical condition.
The three rear seat passengers – all young male teens - were brought by ambulance to Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe as a precaution.
A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators at the weekend.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Road users who were travelling in the area of Ballyedmond between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Saturday night last, and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
