Members of Aistear, the winning group of the prestigious Craobh Siansa Gael Linn competition 2026 gathered in Michael Fawls, in Ennis, Co. Clare this weekend for a celebratory night of music and fun.
Joined by their mentor Killian Shannon, their family and many young musician friends from all over, it was a great night of outstanding music performance and singing.
The Craobh Siansa Gael Linn competition has been running since 2001 and is one of the country’s leading traditional music and singing competition. The competition final which took place in the National Concert Hall last April fosters a close connection between the Irish language, music and young people.
Aistear, with members from Clare, Galway and Tipperary, is comprised of Conall D’arcy on piano and concertina, Kieran Brennan on guitar, Diarmuid Slattery (fiddle ), John Elwood (accordion / melodeon ), Rory Fitzgerald (flute ), Clodagh Kennedy (concertina and cello ), Ava Egan (fiddle and harp ) and Tara Boyle (uileann pipes and tin whistle ).
Aistear are looking forward to many more musical get togethers and gigs over the Summer months.
