Three Coláiste Iognáid athletes have been selected to represent Ireland on the international stage this summer.
Grace Faherty has been selected to compete at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in Lucerne, Switzerland. She will race in the JW4 crew, that take to competition on July 25 to 26.
Faherty’s selection builds on a strong showing at the Castleconnell Regatta last month. She teamed up with Molly Frehill to secure a WJ18 Double Sculls victory before the pair powered to victory in the J18 Quad with Aoibhinn Kelly and Lola McCormack. Faherty also won her solo WJ16 Single Sculls final.
Eoghan O’Connell will also be travelling to Switzerland. He has been selected to race for the JM4 crew. It will O’Connell’s second time donning the green of Ireland.
Harvey Solan has been chosen to compete at the Home International Regatta in the London Docklands on the same weekend in July.
