Gardaí have launched an investigation following an incident in Athenry at the weekend during which a firearm was discharged, and two cars were set alight.
The incident occurred at a residence in the Cullairbaun estate in Athenry at around 12.25am on Sunday, May 10.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
A technical examination of the scene has been conducted.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward.
Road users who were travelling in the area of Cullairbaun and its surrounds at the time and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are being asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
