Sinn Féin’s bye-election candidate Mark Lohan will host a cost-of-living meeting alongside Pearse Doherty and Mairéad Farrell on Monday, April 20, at 7.30pm in the Connacht Hotel.
Commenting before the meeting, Mark Lohan explained, “The cost of living crisis has people at crisis point, many people across Galway have told me that they simply cannot afford to heat their homes, put fuel in their car or pay their bills. Thousands of people took to the streets over the last week, clearly calling on the Government to act.
“This week, Sinn Féin called a motion of no confidence in this Government, as they have lost the confidence of the people and have failed to assist families and workers who are struggling.
“Enough is enough, and Sinn Féin is demanding action on this now. Join us next Monday at 7.30pm in the Connacht Hotel to do just that.”
