Harvey Norman Ireland has announced its official charity partnership with the Marie Keating Foundation, one of Ireland’s leading organisations dedicated to cancer awareness, education, and support. As part of this partnership, Harvey Norman will launch a nationwide fundraising initiative this April - making it easier than ever for customers to support the cause both in-store and online.
From April 8 until April 26, Harvey Norman stores across Ireland will host a variety of in-store fundraising events and activities to help support the foundation’s mission to “Make cancer less frightening by enlightening.” During this period, customers can donate directly at tills in every store or choose to contribute online, ensuring everyone can participate, no matter where they are. All funds raised will go directly towards the foundation’s vital information and support services, reaching thousands of people every year, giving education, information and advice focused on cancer prevention and early detection, as well as providing support services to those living with and beyond cancer. Their nurses and mobile information units deliver the critical message of cancer prevention and early detection to communities and schools nationwide. By providing these services free of charge they ensure that those most in need can access information and support.
Tim Hannon, CEO of Harvey Norman Ireland, spoke about the partnership and upcoming events: “We’re honoured to support the Marie Keating Foundation and the incredible impact they make in communities across Ireland. Our teams are gearing up for three weeks of fundraising activities in all our locations, and we’re encouraging the public to drop in to our stores, and help us raise as much as possible.”
Customers visiting their local Harvey Norman in April can expect a lively line-up of store-led initiatives, staff challenges, community events, and donation opportunities - all designed to raise funds and awareness for life-saving cancer education and survivorship programmes such as the Comfort Fund and Positive Living.
Liz Yeates, CEO of the Marie Keating Foundation, welcomed the support: “We are delighted to have Harvey Norman Ireland by our side. Their April fundraising campaign will directly help us continue providing free cancer information awareness and support services to those who need them most nationwide. Community partnerships like this truly help save lives.”
Harvey Norman encourages everyone to visit their local store this April to take part in the events, show support, and help make a meaningful difference.
