Drive for five

Kilkerrin-Clonberne arrive to GAA HQ chasing a fifth consecutive All-Ireland club championship crown.

Their opponents, Antrtim's St Ergnat's of Moneyglass, are making history. It is their first ever appearance in an All-Ireland senior club championship final.

Kilkerrin-Clonberne won their eighth provincial title in a row when they swept St Brigid's aside. They followed that victory up with a convincing 1-11 to 0-3 win over Comeragh Rangers of Waterford to book their spot in the final this Saturday.

St Ergnat’s secured their final spot by upsetting a strong Kilmacud Crokes side in their semi-final by a score of 1-12 to 1-10. The Kilkerrin-Clonberne defence will be wary of county footballer, Cathy Carey, who registered 0-6 of her club's haul.

The final will throw in at 4pm this Saturday, December 13 at Croke Park. It will be preceded by the intermediate final as Galway's Caltra bid for All-Ireland glory against Cavan’s Knockbride at 2pm.

Against all odds

Giant slayers Athenry take on Cork's St Finbarr's in the senior All-Ireland Camogie Club Championship on Sunday, December 14.

Athenry booked their passage into the final with a thrilling one-point victory over 2023 All-Ireland champions Dicksboro. It was a tense and cagey affair, as evidenced by the final scoreline of 1-10 to 1-09.

The Dervla Higgins-inspired Athenry defence has been the foundation of Athenry's success at both county and national level this season. They upset the odds in the Galway county final as they defeated the dominant Sarsfields (Galway ), who had been county champions eight out of the last nine years, by a final score of 2-8 to 1-8.

St Finbarr’s punched their ticket to the final after a dramatic semi-final win over Loughgiel Shamrocks (Antrim ), edging them 3-15 to 3-14 after extra time.

It promises to be an intriguing matchup given Barr's scoring prowess and Athenry's defensive stability.

Throw-in at Croke Park is 4.15pm on Sunday, December 14.
