Cuddy gets special meeting on state of county roads

The Galway County Council will hold a special meeting on the ongoing problem of road maintenance in the county on Tuesday June 30.
The meeting was requested by Independent Oranmore councillor Jim Cuddy who said the issue of funding and recent cutbacks in outdoor staff will also be discussed.
“Some of the roads are in a very dangerous state and the county council have been notified about their poor condition for quite some time, but nothing has been done,” he said. “The present situation can no longer be tolerated and I am hopeful a resolution can be found
