KINVARA SMART Arts Exhibition, an exciting collaboration between 12 local teenagers and 12 Kinvara Area Visual Arts artists, is currently running in The Courthouse in the south Galway village.

During the summer, a group of young photographers attended a series of smartphone photography workshops, given by professional photographer Markus Voetter, in Kinvara Courthouse. One photo from each participant, taken with his/her smartphone, was then chosen to be used by a KAVA artist as the basis of an artwork. The resulting artworks and the original photographs which inspired are the subject of this exhibition.

The exhibition runs until Sunday November 11. Gallery opening times are 12 noon to 4pm daily. The project was funded by Small Town Big Ideas as part of Galway 2020. See www.kava.ie
