Positive amendment to the Roadmap to Recovery for Businesses and Society

As figures pertaining to the presence of COVID-19 within local communities continue to remain positive, the Government have formally announced a positive phase amendment to the Roadmap for Reopening Businesses and Society due to the united effort of the population whose determined focus to suppress the virus persists.

Services within communities will now reopen on a four phase basis with the implementation of phase three of the roadmap to commence on Monday, June 29.

Persons are advised to limit public interactions with the maintenance of social distancing measures and hygiene standards paramount.

The wearing of face coverings will contain the spread of COVID-19 and are deemed necessary in congested environments.

PHASE 3 - JUNE 29

Education

The following may reopen - all adult education facilities, creches, childminding facilities and pre-schools, summer camps, youth clubs, all indoor and outdoor amenities for children.

Economic Activity & Work

Continue to work from home where possible.

The following may reopen - hairdressers, barbers, nail and brow salons, beauty salons, spas, tanning and tattoo services, driving schools, all remaining retail and commercial activities.

Social

Indoor gatherings of up to 50 persons permitted and outdoor gatherings of up to 200 persons permitted when conducted in line with public health advice.

The following may reopen - cafes and restaurants providing on-site food and beverages, pubs and hotel bars operating as restaurants, hotels, hostels, caravan and holiday parks.

Sport

Sporting activities may recommence to include team leagues for adults and children, close contact sports, organised sporting spectator events and fixtures.

The following may reopen - gyms, yoga, pilates and dance studios, sports clubs and public swimming pools.
