HE IS best known for hip hop anthem 'Boom! Shake the Room' and with Will Smith for THAT theme song, to the much loved 1990s US comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but Jazzy Jeff is also a hip hop pioneer and icon.
Jazzy Jeff initially found fame with Will Smith in the Grammy-winning duo, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince through songs such as 'Boom! Shake the Room,' 'Summertime', and 'Girls Ain't Nothing but Trouble'. They followed this with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, with Jazzy playing a recurring character who constantly found himself being physically ejected from the Banks' house.
Jazz went on be a successful producer, actor, and comedian, even mentoring future stars like Eminem and The Roots. He is also regarded as one of the pioneers of the DJing technique of 'transformer scratching'.
