The Connacht Property Auction — the fastest growing property network in Ireland

IAMSOLD Property Auctions held its first Connacht Property Auction on November 14 2013, when 22 of the 27 properties offered were sold successfully. Since then the company has seen phenomenal growth and is fast becoming one of the major auction providers in Ireland.

The Galway based firm, which also operates the Munster Property Auction in Cork, is now working in partnership with more than 80 auctioneers in Ireland – making it the fastest growing property network in the country. After the success of that first auction in Galway, the company has held a further eight auctions during 2014, four in Connacht and another four in Munster. Each auction has offered between 20 and 30 properties and the auctions have had an impressive 86 per cent success rate overall.

Company director Patrick Folan said: “The success of our auction service is due to our approach to the auctions themselves. We are the only property company in Ireland currently offering an online auction system where all bids are made visible on our website, and this online method of sale is going from strength to strength. We also offer public auction events which are held in the Menlo Park Hotel in Galway, and these have proved extremely successful also. Our auctions are more flexible to buyers and sellers, which makes our overall offering very attractive to use. In addition to this, we are the only auction company in Ireland who do not charge an entry or marketing fee, making us particularly appealing for those looking to sell their properties.”

The impressive results of the auctions to date have seen the company become one of the largest property networks in Ireland.

Mr Folan added: “Key to our success is the strong relationship with our local partner agents who we work very closely with. We advertise properties locally, nationally, and internationally and we ensure strong interest is achieved on each property. After holding eight successful auctions this year, we have now scheduled 10 further public auction events for 2015 and we are already taking listings for these auctions.

“In addition to the public auctions, our online auctions are ongoing 24-seven and have proven extremely successful with property owners looking for transparency and fair bidding for all interested parties,” he continued. “We expect strong demand for both the online and public auctions in 2015 and we are inviting properties owners to contact us to discuss selling their properties with us.”
