PAUL HEATON, the man behind The Housemartins and the Beautiful South, has announced a Galway date as part of his upcoming Irish tour.

Heaton will play Seapoint, Salthill, on Thursday October 30 and tickets are going on sale tomorrow from Ticketmaster outlets and www.roisindubh.net at 9am.

For this tour Heaton will be accompanied by Jacqui Abbott, his former co-vocalist in the Beautiful South, and the voice of some of their greatest songs, such as ‘Rotterdam’ and ‘Don’t Marry Her’ and ‘Perfect 10’.

Heaton and Abbot recently released a new collaborative album, What Have We Become, featuring 12 songs, including the new single ‘Moulding Of A Fool’.

In advance of the show, the Galway Advertiser has compiled a playlist of some of Heaton’s best songs, spanning his career from The Housemartins to the new album. Listen on www.advertiser.ie/galway/entertainment/music
