Ford launches new €1,500 ‘swappage’ offer

Ford is asking motorists if they are one of the many who have put off upgrading their car for the past few years because of the expense? And the blue oval marque's new ‘swappage’ offer could be just the ticket if your car is between six and ten years old.

For car owners with a 2004 to 2008 registration, Ford’s ‘swappage’ offer will guarantee an additional €1,500 allowance in addition to the trade-in value of the old vehicle against a new Fiesta, Focus, B-MAX or C-MAX.

To help get the word out on the latest offer, Ireland soccer star Richard Dunne, and u-21 Ireland international and Shamrock Rovers defender Luke Byrne, have been designated as Ford ‘swappage’ ambassadors. And both were on hand for the official launch of the initiative which took place in Dublin recently.

Ford says its swappage offer is even more enticing as customers can benefit from a new competitive Ford Options finance package – developed exclusively for Ford ‘swappage’. It has a rate of 7.9% APR with one quoted example from €44 per week for a new Fiesta.

“For anyone who is even remotely considering a new car, our Ford ‘swappage’ deal is a great opportunity to get behind the wheel of a new Ford thanks to our swappage allowance and a great financial package,” Eddie Murphy, managing director of Ford Ireland, told the Advertiser.

“We would say to those motorists: drop into your local Ford dealer, you will be surprised at how affordable upgrading to a new car might be.”

The Ford ‘swappage’ offer runs until June 30 and further details are available at www.fordswappage.ie or from local Ford dealer.
