Clarinbridge cabinet company knocking on door of international success with healthcare giants

Clarenbridge-based company Clinical Cabinets celebrated one year in business this week and already has exciting plans to introduce new products and to export abroad.
Specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of laboratory, cleanroom and workspace furniture for medical, corporate and retail facilities, the company has worked with some of the biggest healthcare and pharmaceutical companies in its brief history.
Clinical Cabinets was founded in 2011 by John Walsh of Clarenbridge and since then has delivered high-end custom made furniture for a number of medical device, pharmaceutical, technology centres and other specialised facilities including Boston Scientific, Allergan and HID Global. The company employs five staff at present and plans to recruit an additional three by the end of 2012.
Commenting on their first year in business, John Walsh, Managing Director, Clinical Cabinets said, “Establishing a new business is a daunting but exciting task. We have worked very hard to make Clinical Cabinets an innovative and flexible business so that our clients may benefit from personalised products and customer service. It is a great advantage to be based in the West of Ireland, as it is a major centre for the medical technology sector.
“We spend a considerable amount of time researching and developing all of our products so as to ensure the very latest in innovation, safety and hygiene standards are met.
“Recently we produced a custom made waste recycling unit which has great potential for more widespread roll out.
“We have learned a lot from our first year in business and are very much looking forward to the future.”
Later this year the company plans to begin exporting to the UK and also to introduce a new lab and clean room product that will help to reduce daily maintenance costs specifically related to hat, glove and shoe cover waste.
The company is dedicated to offering a ‘one stop shop’ style service that provides a product package from concept to installation. Clinical Cabinets obtains raw materials from local suppliers and manufactures all products in house, thereby ensuring the highest standards of quality are provided at all times.
