‘What’s your line?’ asks Galway Theatre Festival

“TO BE or not to be, that is the question.”; “We are all born mad. Some remain so.”; “To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness.”
These are three of the most memorable lines in theatre from Shakespeare, Beckett, and Wilde respectively. So what is your favourite line from a play? This is not an idle question as the Galway Theatre Festival is asking the public for their views as part of the festival’s 2012 poster which will be designed by Micheál Reidy.
Favourite lines and quotes may be emailed to galwaytheatrefestival@gmail.com by Saturday June 30. Quotes can be from Irish, international, modern or classic plays, but the play in question must have been published.
