New 2012 Mitsubishi Pajero SUV arrives

A spokesman told the Advertiser it is the strongest, quietest, safest, and smartest Pajero built.

Now with 200bhp and a massive 441NM of torque, it has an increased towing capacity of up to 3,500kg in the case of the long wheelbase. It appears it also offer the best in class CO2 emissions at 207g/km, which means it is also more efficient in returning up to 36.2mpg.

Its super select four-wheel drive system means that when it is not towing or driving off-road, you can simply and comfortably deploy two-wheel drive, with the option to switch between the two at speeds of up to 100km/h.

A trusted workhorse for the last 25 years in Ireland with more than 10,000 sold, the Pajero has carved out a unique niche in the market, where ability and dependability matter first and foremost.

The Mitsubishi Motors spokesman said: "With 4x4s now being used extensively for business and farming use, the Pajero meets the demands of owners at many different levels, while also being the most powerful vehicle in its class."

The new Pajero commercial will be available in both short wheel base and long wheel base. All models come with cruise control, automatic air conditioning, Bluetooth, 18” alloy wheels, traction control, and driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags as standard.

Prices for the new Pajero start at €32,262 ex VAT, but inclusive of VRT of €200 for the SWB commercial.

Mitsubishi points out the new Pajero commercial range, which will account for 90 per cent of overall Pajero sales in Ireland, has a very high level of standard equipment, which includes: cruise control; Bluetooth handsfree system with steering wheel controls; automatic air conditioning; electric, heated, folding door mirrors with integrated indicator lamps; remote central locking with keyless entry; leather steering wheel and gear stick; and remote audio controls in the steering wheel.

Exterior styling items include: 18” alloy wheels; front fog lights; a chrome grille; roof rails; and side steps.

Mitsubishi Motors Ireland is also offering an optional extra two years warranty, in addition to the three year/100,000km warranty as standard.
