Robert Sarazin Blake to play Róisín Dubh

WITH HIS glasses and rich black beard, Robert Sarazin Blake has the air of a rabbi. He isn’t, but it is the stories in his songs and their wise reflections which give him that aura.

Robert - an enormously talented singer-songwriter from Bellingham, Washington, USA - is a regular visitor to Galway and is coming back west next to play upstairs in the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday at 8.30pm.

Robert’s music is rooted in Americana and folk-rock with a strong Irish influence. His songs deal with how the ordinary, the everyday, the passing encounter, or just another night on the town can have repercussions which can last for years or be a point of revelation. Check out his albums Humdinger Days and Humdinger Nights and The Air Your Lungs Forced Out.

Admission is €5.
