Local businesswoman shortlisted for Young Entrepreneur Award
Athenry native Irene Trowell of the Galway Laser & Skincare Clinic has reached the final six of the prestigious Shell Livewire Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 Awards. Ms Trowell (24), and five other young entrepreneurs from the west will be showcased at the Shell Livewire Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in Westport next Thursday, October 9.
The Galway Laser and Skincare Clinic, which opened its doors in April 2007, is the first dedicated laser clinic in the west of Ireland, specialising in treatments such as laser hair removal, medical microdermabrasion, and photo rejuvenation for broken veins, and is the first clinic to host laser tattoo removal in the west.
