Come dance with The Mulkerrin Brothers
By Kernan Andrews
THE MULKERRIN Brothers, winners of the first RTÉ All-Ireland Talent Show, are about to embark on their first Irish tour which takes in dates in Galway and Castlebar.
The three brothers, Padraig, Eamonn, and Seán, from Inis Mór on the Aran Islands performed a combination of traditional music and dance to claim the title. A major feature of their performance was Seán’s sean-nós dancing.
The brothers have been working in the studio laying some tracks down for their first album and there is a documentary being filmed about them due for broadcast on Christmas Day.
Support on the night comes from Gino Lupari from Magherafelt, Co Derry. He is one of the finest bodhrán players around and is best know as the comic front-man and vocalist of the band Four Men and A Dog.
The Mulkerrin Brothers will perform at the TF Royal, Castlebar this Sunday and in the Town Hall Theatre, Galway on Monday. Both shows start at 8pm.
