Over The Rainbow – The Eva Cassidy Story
OVER THE Rainbow, the story of singer Eva Cassidy who died at only 33 from cancer, but whose music has touched millions, is coming to Galway.
Over The Rainbow will be performed at the Town Hall Theatre on Friday November 6 and Saturday 7 at 8pm with a matinee on Saturday at 3pm.
This award-winning musical journeys through Cassidy’s life, from her idyllic childhood growing up in a musical family, to her studio work with boyfriend and mentor Chris Biondo; to the exuberant live recording of Blues Alley, and finally to her tragically premature death.
The show features 27 of her best loved songs recreated by a multi-talented cast of West End performers. It stars Scottish singer and Musicality winner Donna Hazelton playing Barbara Cassidy (Eva’s mother) and David Paisley (Holby City, Casualty, and River City).
Tickets are available from the Town Hall on
