Silent disco at Róisín Dubh
By Kernan Andrews
AFTER THE Hypnotic Brass Ensemble play Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh tonight, the venue will host another of the increasingly popular silent discos.
For this silent disco, Gugai and SHAKE!’s Aran McMahon will go head to head. Expect a clash of the best indie/alternative against the finest and most furious funk’n’soul.
All you have to do is pick up your headphones on the way in and switch between the two DJs to see who is playing the songs you most want to dance to. If you need a break, take the headphones off and marvel at the bizarre spectacle of a room full of people dancing and singing different songs, even though no music is to be heard.
It’s the most surreal fun you can have! Admission to the silent disco is €5 plus a free pint of Bavaria or free if you were at the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.
