PorterShed announced the launch of a new exhibition celebrating ten years of the company and the people who have shaped Galway's innovation community.
'Embers', the exhibit, will bring together 10 artists who have shown work at PorterShed since it opened. Each artist will present work in their own preferred style, creating a retrospective of creativity, diversity and artistic talent.
PorterShed offers local artists a free and accessible platform to exhibit their work outside traditional gallery settings, allowing visual art into the everyday life of Galway’s innovation and co-working community.
Oónagh Malone, Community Associate at PorterShed, said “PorterShed has been shaped not only by startups, entrepreneurs and innovators, but also by the artists whose work has brought colour, imagination and conversation into our spaces. Embers is a celebration of those artists and the lasting mark they have left on our community.
The launch evening will welcome artists and the wider Galway community for an informal exhibition opening, networking, light refreshments, and brief remarks acknowledging the contributions of participating artists and supporters.
The exhibition opens on Thursday, July 23 at PorterShed a Dó, 15 Market Street, Galway, H91 TCX3 and will run until Friday, August 21.
