Free choral concert by Charleston County School of the Arts

All are welcome to the free choral concert which will take place on April 9 at 8pm in St Joseph's Church, Galway by the Charleston County School of the Arts from South Carolina, USA.

The Charleston County School of the Arts Vocal Department is made up of 190 singers from grades six through 12, lead by directors Heather Hammond Caffarel and Robin A. Rogers.

The school enjoys a long tradition of excellence in choral music and has distinguished itself creatively and academically since the school began in 1995. They consistently earn superior ratings in choral festivals and often place large numbers of students into the All State Choir and American Choral Directors Association Honour Choirs.

Travelling locally, nationally and internationally, recent concert performance locations have included Rome, Florence, Venice, and a premiere of a work by Stroope at Carnegie Hall, New York.

The Singers are thrilled to be performing at St Joseph’s Church Galway as part of their 2024 tour of Ireland.
