OTROS AIRES will make their debut performance in Ireland with the show Destination Tango in the Black Box Theatre on Wednesday June 24 at 8pm for a night of tango, milongas, and Latin music.
This Argentinean ensemble - Miguel Di Genova (vocals/musical director), Omar Massa (bandoneon), Diego Ramos (keyboard), Manu Mayol (drums) - will perform with Enrique Ringa & Marion Krauthaker, Caminos de Tango lead dancers and directors, at this show which will raise funds for the Ballyowen Meadows School for Children with Autism.
Destination Tango captures the essence of Argentine tango and its origins in this exciting South American production. Otros Aires ensemble gives traditional tango a contemporary twist, while conserving the aesthetic origins of tango. This is an outstanding crossover musical experience led by the sounds of enchanting guitar, lively percussion, the lamentations of the melancholic bandoneon, and stunning street tango performances.
The Galway gig is unique, because as well as the seated audience, people will be able to dance along with the music on a big dancefloor. Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777.
