Take on a challenge with Team Midlands Simon

Midlands Simon Community is asking people to show their solidarity for those experiencing homelessness in the Midlands by joining Team Midlands Simon this year for a sporting event or challenge. Whether it’s a triathlon or an egg and spoon race, Team Midlands Simon needs you to take the challenge and help end homelessness through sport.

Take part in any event of your choice and raise money for Midlands Simon while achieving your goals. Midlands Simon is appealing to everyone regardless of fitness level, whether a seasoned marathon runner or someone who enjoys a fun day out. So whether your aim is to complete the Flora Mini Marathon, Dublin Marathon, or any other sporting event you can think of, Team Midlands Simon would be proud to have you join their ranks.

Join people like Kelly Gallagher from Athlone Institute of Technology who is taking part in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon, or well-known local runner and member of the Defence Forces, Jimmy Nugent, who is taking part in the Munich Marathon in October.

Run, walk, climb, hop, swim, dance, jiggle, cycle, crawl, or do a marathon dressed as Elvis; everyone involved in Team Midlands Simon will be making a real difference to those experiencing homelessness in their community.

“No one chooses to be homeless, but by joining Team Midlands Simon people can choose to help end it. We are highlighting the fact that Midlands Simon Community is here to face challenges with all those who need our help, and that by working together, for as long as it takes, we can overcome these challenges, and continue to provide all the supports necessary to enable people to move out of homelessness and into a permanent home,” said CEO of Midlands Simon Tony O’Riordan.
