Hill of Berries native to fulfil dream of captaining Ireland at Dance World Cup in Spain

Hill Of Berries native, Anna Marie Mullan (12 ) will fulfil a dream when she captains Ireland at the Dance World Cup in San Sebastián, Spain, at the end of June.

The talented dancer will perform an acrobatic routine in Dance World Cup in which participants from 62 countries will compete in the prestigious Kursaal Conference Centre and Auditorium in San Sebastián.

Anna Marie trains with Fitnastics acro in Athlone, the Shannon Dance Academy and WTA Dance Studio in Dublin.

Anna Marie has enjoyed a prominent year within the dance industry competing and winning at many national events including VAD productions, 5678 dance competition and Destination Dance where the judges awarded her a ‘Dance Idol’ accolade for 2022. She dances in all categories including jazz, lyrical, contemporary and acrobatic dance.

She performed in the opening act for Junk Kouture in the Bord Gáis Theatre, powered by RTE in May. In 2021, Anna Marie won a gold medal at Aldi Community Games national finals in dance. She has also won national medals in gymnastics before moving to acrobatic dance.
