Mid Ireland region promoted to keen Northern Ireland market

Mid Ireland Tourism recently carried out a Northern Ireland marketing campaign to highlight the activities, attractions, accommodation, festivals events, and special deals on offer in the Mid Ireland region.

The campaign involved a two day shopping centre promotion at the very busy Castle Court Shopping Centre in Belfast City. Mid Ireland Tourism also attended the press launch of the Irish Game Fair and Country Lifestyle Festival, where interviews with local newspapers gave great exposure for the region.

The main focus of the marketing campaign was the attractive stand, which Mid Ireland Tourism organised at the Irish Game Fair and Country Lifestyle Festival held in Shanes Castle, Co Antrim.

Tourism product providers joined Mid Ireland Tourism and attracted people to their stand with whiskey tastings by The Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre and Lockes Distillery Kilbeggan, food tastings by members of Offaly Delicious, and The Prince of Wales Hotel Athlone. A huge number of people also signed up to the competitions, which were for a valuable array of prizes including weekends away in the Mid Ireland region.

The event was a huge success in generating an interest in the Mid Ireland region as a holiday or short break destination.
