This club, originally established in 1864, must be one of the oldest in Galway, if not one of the oldest amateur sporting clubs in the country. It was a great night of celebration and nostalgia for members of Galway Lions Club as they celebrated their 50th birthday at a recent celebratory function in the Ardilaun Hotel.
