Athlone supplier to join SuperValu’s Christmas range

Family-run business Oliver Carty Ltd of Monksland, Athlone has been selected to supply a selection of products as part of the new SuperValu Own Brand Christmas range. The new range has been created by celebrated Irish chef, Kevin Dundon, in conjunction with a range of SuperValu’s Irish suppliers, and will create 22 new jobs and generate €841,000 in retail sales for Irish suppliers.

Irish retailers predict a drop in Christmas trading

Irish retailers are predicting a drop of -0.47 per cent in Christmas 2012 trading, according to a survey published by Retail Excellence Ireland (REI), Ireland’s largest retail industry trade body.
