The opening film in this year’s Galway Film Fleadh is Song Of Granite, an absorbing and lyrical portrait of legendary sean-nós singer Joe Heaney. It is directed by Pat Collins best known for his acclaimed documentaries on Michael Hartnett, John McGahern, Frank O’Connor, Gabriel Byrne, and Tim Robinson.
