Galway City Museum is delighted to welcome visitors throughout the festive season, with adjusted opening hours to accommodate holiday schedules. The Museum will be open on Tuesday, 23 December from 10am to 5pm, and will close from Wednesday, 24 December to Monday, 29 December (inclusive).

Galway City Museum will hold its special Winter Talk Series at Westside Resource Centre (H19 C1KX), running from November 2025 to March 2026. Developed in response to community interest, the series offers an engaging mix of folklore, local history, built heritage, and environmental storytelling to brighten the darker months.

This week saw the official opening of Galway City Partnership’s rooftop balcony garden on the Headford Road by Minister for Social Protection, Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary.
