Campaign to call McHale Park stand after Tony McHugh

A new group on Facebook has been set up to call the new stand in McHale Park after the late Anthony McHugh. The page, which was set up during the week, has more than 450 members so far and was started following a discussion on the popular Castlebar website www.castlebar.ie, where posters called for the stand to be named after him.

Citylink unlicensed ‘non-stop’ service case adjourned

A case involving a Galway based bus company accused of running unlicensed non-stop daily services to Dublin, was adjourned after the presiding district court judge reserved judgment until relevant legislation and documents could be considered fully.

Minister Cullen visits Linenhall and McHale Park

The Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, Martin Cullen TD, visited the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar and McHale Park on Friday last together with Fianna Fáil TD Beverley Flynn.
