Eircom outage affects 60,000 Mayo customers

There was widespread distruption for Eircom landline customers across Mayo yesterday (Thursday) when an outage at an exchange left 60,000 customers without a service. The problem persisted from the start of business and continued throughout the day with repair crews saying progress had been slow.
