People across Mayo are being encouraged to put on a brew to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland this May 7.
Celebrating its 20th birthday this year, the Alzheimer Society Annual Tea Day on Thursday May 1 is the main national fundraising event to provide funds to help and support almost 42,000 families affected by Alzheimer’s nationwide.
Two events which are taking place: today, April 13 a tea day will take place from 2.30pm to 5.30pm at Cuan Chaitriona Nursing Home, The Lawn, Castlebar.
The annual Tea Day campaign for The Alzheimer Society of Ireland will take place on Thursday May 3. The society is looking for over 1,500 hosts for the day. All money raised locally from Tea Day, will be invested in local services.
