The future of the South Westmeath Hospice was called into question at Monday’s Athlone Municipal District meeting.

Athlone’s Dean Crowe Theatre will play host to a very special night of music on Friday January 30 when five top folk acts from the town take to the main stage and bar performing a mixture of ballads and folk songs, both traditional and contemporary.

A 6k fun run is being organised by the fundraising committee of Ardkeenan NS, Drum to raise money for the school and South Westmeath Hospice. The fun run takes place on Saturday June 28 starting at Drum parish hall.
