Salthill Knocknacarra GAA club has launched its annual John Joyce Memorial Sevens Gaelic football tournament to be held at the Prairie, Árus Bóthar na Trá, on St Stephen's Day.This is the 17th consecutive running of the tournament held each year in honour of the former Salthill Knocknacarra and Galway football star, who passed away on December 14, aged 29.

Salthill-Knocknacarra too strong for Na Breathnaigh

Salthill-Knocknacarra qualified for an exciting county senior football quarter-final against Milltown in the next round of the Galway club championship when they proved too strong for Micheal Breathnachs last Sunday evening in a rain-drenched Moycullen.
