Ballinrobe native knifed to death in Salthill stabbing

The man who was fatally stabbed in Galway last weekend is believed to be a Ballinrobe native, originally from the High Street area of the town. The Mayo Advertiser also understands that the deceased has relatives still living in the area, although he spent decades residing in the USA himself.

The Galway under 16 ladies football team regained the Connacht title by beating Mayo on a scoreline of 5-15 to 1-13 at Hyde Park in Roscommon on Wednesday.
