Minister Dempsey to open Great Western Greenway

Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey TD will be in west Mayo tomorrow (Friday April 16) to officially open the Great Western Greenway from Newport to Mulranny. Also being officially opened is the popular new walking and cycling route through Westport town.

Newport Harbour bye-laws fall between two stools

Lack of funding to meet housing grant applications

Members of the Westport electoral area committee were this week informed that there was not enough funding to meet this year’s Housing Aid for Older People Scheme due to inadequate funding received from the Government.
