Irish Water and Mayo County Council are carrying out repairs to a burst watermain on Emmet Street, Ballina to restore water supply to approximately 300 properties in Emmet Street, Bridge Street, Pearse Street, Bachelor’s Walk, Arbuckle Row, Castlecourt, Beleek Lodge, Dillon Terrace, Nally Street, Humbert Street, Belleekand the surrounding areas. Repairs are expected to be completed by 4pm today and it may take two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by the burst.

Mayo County Council will receive funding to support home adaptations for older people and those living with a disability in private houses, Fine Gael Deputy Alan Dillon has said.
