Each May Bank Holiday, as the hedgerows brighten and the Atlantic air softens along the coast of Kinvara, the village bursts into life with the sound of fiddles, flutes, and friendly conversation.

Kinvara is gearing up for the return of Fleadh na gCuach 2026, a much-loved celebration of traditional music and community arts taking place over the May Bank Holiday Weekend. This year’s programme is packed, with over 120 musicians and artists performing across the village, including well-known names such as Alan Kelly, Mary Bergin, Brendan O’Regan, John Faulkner, and Eimer Casey, to name but a few.

Renowned as the city of festivals, Galway is set to host ‘Fleadh na Bealtaine’ a brand-new traditional music and cultural festival, to mark the arrival of Summer and the many visitors to the city over the May Bank Holiday weekend from Thursday April 30 until Monday May 4.
